About Klean Graphite
Klean Graphite is the graphite and conductive carbon division of Klean Industries, a Vancouver-based cleantech group that engineers and owns thermal-treatment plants.
Klean Graphite exists because the carbon industry has two halves that rarely talk to each other. One half mines and trades graphite. The other half builds the thermal processes that actually create, purify and engineer carbon. Klean sits in the second half, and brings that process perspective to graphite, conductive carbon and the advanced carbon grades that modern batteries, polymers and refractories now demand.
What the Parent Group Does
Klean Industries is a wholly-owned resource-recovery and thermal-conversion company based in Vancouver. It engineers and owns thermal-treatment plants — pyrolysis, gasification and carbonization — that convert waste materials into fuels, carbon and energy. From end-of-life tires and plastics, those plants recover carbon black and other carbon products rather than sending the material to landfill or incineration.
Advanced and Nanocarbon Materials
Beyond bulk carbon, Klean works with nanocarbon materials including graphene, carbon nanotubes and fullerenes through a marketing and technology relationship with Mitsubishi, a nanocarbon producer. That relationship gives access to the fine end of the carbon spectrum while Klean’s own plants cover the recovered and thermally processed end.
An Honest Position in the Chain
Klean Graphite is not a primary graphite miner and does not claim to be. Its contribution is upstream process engineering and downstream carbon knowledge:
- Thermal conversion engineering — pyrolysis, gasification and carbonization plant design and ownership.
- Recovered carbon products — carbon black and carbon materials from end-of-life tires and plastics.
- Nanocarbon access — graphene, carbon nanotubes and fullerenes through the Mitsubishi relationship.
- Applications knowledge — battery anodes, lubricants, refractories and conductive polymers.
How We Work With Buyers and Developers
Conversations start with a specification and a volume, not a brochure. Purity, particle size distribution, surface area, ash and consistency determine whether a grade can serve an application, and those are process outcomes. Where a project needs a plant rather than a product — a carbonization or pyrolysis train built around a particular feedstock — the wider Klean group carries the engineering, procurement and delivery scope.
Why That Combination Is Unusual
Material traders can quote, and engineering firms can build, but few organisations do both inside the same carbon value chain. That is the ground Klean Graphite occupies: carbon as a process outcome, discussed with people who have built the processes.
Talk to People Who Build the Carbon Process
Whether you need a grade, a process route or a plant, the starting point is the same: feedstock, specification and volume.
